Kayla Roper Ms. Roper attended Bastrop High School, where she was a four-year member of the Honeybears drill team. She served as a Lieutenant her sophomore year and Captain both her junior and senior years.
After high school, Ms. Roper attended Trinity Valley as a Cardette where she was a part of the nationals team her sophomore year. Ms. Roper received her associate's degree from Trinity Valley then transferred to Texas State where she graduated Magna Cum Laude 1 with a BFA in dance education. From 2021 to 2024 Ms. Roper taught at Dripping Springs High School as the JV director and assistant varsity director. In 2024 she was selected to step into the role of the varsity dance director and is eager to build on the program's success and continued growth. |
Alyssa Wisdom Ms. Wisdom grew up in McKinney, Texas and started dancing around the age of 3. She attended McKinney High School where she was on the school’s drill team, McKinney Marquettes, for 4 years. She served as a Line Officer her Sophomore Year and Lieutenant both her Junior and Senior years.
After High School, Ms. Wisdom attended Stephen F. Austin State University where she was a part of the SFA Dance Team for two years and achieved 3 national championships with the team. She was also a member of the SFA Repertory Dance Company for one year, where she performed modern dance at ACDA, TDEA, and in the Fringe Festival held in Edinburgh, Scotland. After College, Ms. Wisdom taught at Kitty Carter’s Dance Factory which has been featured in both ‘Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team’ and ‘America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders’. Ms. Wisdom has also taught at multiple dance summer camps such as Dance Up Dallas and Kickin’ It With Rains. Ms. Wisdom has started her education career here at Dripping Springs in 2024 where she is Head Director of The Dazzlers and Assistant Director of the Hi-Steppers. |
