The Hi-Steppers dance team began in the fall of 1987 and has a rich history of excellence and traditions.
During the last 37 years the Hi-Steppers have been awarded "I" ratings from all competitive judges and have received Crowdpleaser National Titles, ADTS National Titles, State Champion awards, Overall Grand Champions, Best In Class awards, and Outstanding Precision, Choreography, Technique, Academic Champions, and Showmanship awards.
Our "seasons" consists of team camp in July, performances at all Varsity football games, select performances at Varsity basketball games, community service, dance competitions, and culminates with our annual Spring Show held in April. They have traveled to New Orleans, Los Angeles, California, New York City, Chicago and taken dance classes at Disney, Broadway dance, Alvin Ailey, Millenium Dance, and Giordano school of dance.
The Hi-Steppers program is not only about dance technique and performance, the members learn lifelong skills of discipline, determination, teamwork, time management, and leadership. They become a family in the process of developing dance skills and reaching team goals.
